Workbooking
Workbooks and sketchbooks demonstrate the design process through the organisation of ideas and research. In my practice a workbook has dual purpose and contains the process of making, recording, and reflecting. I make a log (weblog -blog) online in order to orgnaise and reference work.
Weblogs are useful for:
– Making sense of research: organise thoughts, reflect, edit and curate the relevant work. Making sense of it is also part of constructing it. In the process of collation, putting it together, reflection, and editing a part of the research is made.
– Making it real. Sharing the work puts it a broader perspective, and it becomes part of the wider practice of design education though joining a wider conversation.
