PRRRRRT!

Electronic music makers (2019)

PRRRRRT! is a DIY electronics collective that designs and makes low cost micro-synthesizers (noise maker) kits, and hacking workshops.

In collaboration with Kathy Hinde and Jasmine Butt, I have designed low cost kits that can be built by beginners, and we run workshops where people can make and hack in a relaxed and creative environment. Our aim is to make DIY electronic music accessible and to have fun making.

Our baby board Nom Nom Nand Nor (NNNN) combines photo-resistors with e-textiles, and the simple noise maker is designed to become a light responsive or tactile musical instrument housed inside a soft toy. We ran the first NNNN workshop at BEEF winter school and we are currently developing modules for the NNNN.
