Playable City Tokyo

About a month ago I received an email from one of my favorite organizations (the Pervasive Media Studio), who were inviting me to apply to be part of a Playable City creative lab in Tokyo. I applied, thinking that they probably would not select me, and eagerly waited for a response. I contemplated wearing a kimono that I have in the back of my wardrobe to the Studio, as a demonstration of my enthusiasm (I didn’t). To my equally weighted surprise, delight, and fear I was selected to be be one of 4 UK artists to be part of the lab.

Less than a few weeks later I found my self at the Wired Lab in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo, with 13 artists, 4 producers, and 2 British Council delegates. The Wired Lab is small, and we filled the space with ideas, laughs, mistakes, mess, and some delicious sushi at lunchtimes.
